Heinkel He 100D-0 (Heinkel Heinkel He 113 propganda Jager) O ne of the very first kits produced by MPM Co. was the Heinkel He 100 in 1/72 scale. Now, MPM Production has revisited the kit. It has been completely redesigned and has nothing in common with the old kit, other than the pattern of the original aircraft. Even though the Heinkel He 100 was more powerful than its competitor, the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it failed to become Luftwaffe's standard fighter. In 1940, it took part in an elaborate propaganda hoax. One of the twelve production-series D-1 aircraft was photographed and described as the new Luftwaffe's fighter, the Heinkel He 113.Several prototypes were brought up to D-1 production-series standard and were purchased by the Soviet Union and Japan purchased 3 prototypes. The kit contains of two sprues with grey plastic parts, injected canopy and detailed photo-etched parts. Decals offer three machines from fictitious Luftwaffe units, all with emblems.
