Bell AH-1T Sea Cobra. SUPER DECALS FOR 4 VERSIONS - COLOR INSTRUCTION SHEET

FIGURE NOT INCLUDED

The AH-1T Sea Cobra is an attack helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter as a direct evolution of the AH-1J to meet the operational requirements of the United States Marine Corps, with the goal of ensuring full operational capability and effectiveness during naval and amphibious operations.Compared to its predecessor, the AH-1T featured a redesigned fuselage and fuel tanks, resulting in increased endurance, operational range, and time on station over the target area. It was employed in close air support missions for ground forces, anti-tank warfare, and armed reconnaissance. The crew consists of two personnel—the pilot and the weapons systems operator—seated in tandem to optimize visibility during combat. In addition to its 20 mm cannon, the most common armament configuration included TOW anti-tank missiles and unguided rockets.. Price:£22.49

Junkers Ju-87D-5/N 'Night Attack 'Stuka'High quality Academy Junkers Ju-87G-2 styrene parts are now joined by our own designed and made styrene conversion parts, etches and resin parts, all of which gives you the very welcomed opportunity to turn the original Academy kit into the D-5/N/D-8 varieties. And at the same time, those new styrene parts also correct the very few mistakes which can be found in the kit. This version, which was effectively the very last bomber version of the Stuka, was first put into the service in 1943 and remained in use well until the end of the war, flying not only with the Luftwaffe, but with other Axis forces, too. And as the Allies enjoyed their air superiority in those latter war years, the Stukas were maainly operated at night both in the ground attack and bomber roles. These operations did not require dive brakes and these were usually removed, and a pair of exhaust dampers was also fitted.
The instruction sheet and decals included in this limited edition kit offer four Luftwaffe schemes, all of which sported the mentioned night type of exhausts " made from resin, and in fact you can chose from two styles of these night types of exhausts.

Grumman OV-1 Mohawk By Mike Verier

Grumman's OV-1 Mohawk was unquestionably the most versatile aircraft the US Army ever had, but so secret were its capabilities and missions that only now, three decades after leaving Army service, can the full story be revealed, the author drawing on first hand accounts, previously unpublished archives and newly de-classified material. Covered in detail are early concepts - which even included water-skis - and numerous design projects such as a VTOL and enlarged variants.

Conceived at a time of great global threat, with all four uniformed, services as well as other Government Agencies involved in the design it was far more than the simple armed reconnaissance aircraft than its 'Observation' designator suggested.

Before the arrival of Attack Helicopters, Mohawks flew armed missions in support of Army operations in Vietnam, acquitting themselves well against a heavily-armed foe. The guns and rockets however were ultimately for self-protection to enable their primary mission, surveillance and intelligence gathering.
The purely daytime-visual work of old, rapidly developed through the use of emerging electronic technologies - especially radar and Infra-red - that could be used day or night irrespective of weather or ground-cover. For the first time battlefield commanders would get intelligence and target information in near real-time.

Ruggedly-built at Grumman's legendary 'Iron Works' Mohawks took Arctic cold, desert heat or jungle humidity in their stride. They watched troubled borders in Europe and Korea and were pivotal in Operation Desert Storm - fully recounted here for the first time. Their unique abilities also led to use with NASA, environmental and survey work, civil assistance and counter-narcotics missions.

A detailed and revealing narrative, copiously illustrated throughout with fully captioned photographs - many previously unseen- is backed by personal accounts, Individual aircraft histories, airframe lists, scale plans and specially commissioned artwork with comprehensive colour scheme information..

Heer im Focus is a series of publications compiled by a team of renowned experts on the German Army. The aim of this series is to focus on those battles, vehicles, equipment and soldiers neglected by the literature until now. As with the Luftwaffe im Focus and U-Boot im Focus series, thorough research will take precedence over speed of publication. You will read accounts from us that are described in a completely different way elsewhere. Trust our articles, we get to the bottom of the issues. This is exactly what we are about, researching the history of the German Army in a way that you will not find elsewhere. It should also be noted that we will cover all the forces that saw action on land. This includes Luftwaffe units such as paratroopers, Luftwaffe field divisions and anti-aircraft units. For the illustrations, we will make use of unique original Agfa Colour slides from private collections as well as photographs which have never been shown before and which illustrate the events in a completely different light. But this publication is not intended just for historians and army enthusiasts. Modelers will get their money's worth too, as the series will be excellent reference source for the construction of accurate models (profile drawings and B/W + colour photos). Diorama makers will also find it a useful reference. The new series thus differs from other publications that also deal with this subject.
The editions will vary in size depending on the articles they contain. This means that there will be no uniform price. Price will be based on the size of each issue. However, no issue will exceed the price of 28.80 euros. Heer im Focus will be published at irregular intervals. In each edition you will find about 60 to 80 unpublished photographs from private collections with detailed captions in German and English as well as articles on special Army topics. Each volume will contain articles drawn from the following list of topics:

Sikorsky S-64 Helicopter Crew (designed to be used with ICM UA UK kits) Operating the S-64 Skycrane involves a unique set of procedures tailored to the design of these iconic “flying cranes.” A standard crew consists of two or three members. In the forward cockpit, the two pilots manage flight operations and mission execution. In firefighting configurations, the pilot-in-command (seated on the left) also operates the water discharge system. Standard protocol requires the crew to sound a dedicated warning siren prior to dropping water, alerting ground personnel to clear the danger zone.

The copilot, seated on the right, assists the command pilot and can relieve them on extended missions. When required, a third crew member occupies the rear-facing control station – a hallmark feature of the S-64 series (as well as its military predecessor, the CH-54). Equipped with a complete set of flight controls, this rear station enables the operator to fly the aircraft during sling-load attachment and precision placement. From this vantage point, the operator maintains direct visual contact with the load and drop zone through a specialised bubble window.

This dedicated rear-control capability allows the crew to position heavy loads with surgical precision—often within centimetres. For missions with smaller crews, the copilot can easily transition from the forward flight deck to the rear control station as needed.

Key Features
Includes three crew figures: two pilots and a rear station operator designed for the S-64 helicopter
Authentic working poses: figures are sculpted in characteristic operational positions inside the flight deck and cabin
Versatile compatibility: perfectly tailored for ICM's S-64 transport and firefighting helicopter kits. Price:£9.99

Sikorsky CH-54A "Tarhe" with M-121 bomb. During the Vietnam War, the U.S. Army deployed the CH-54A Tarhe heavy-lift helicopter to deliver the massive M-121 high-capacity bomb. Detonated just above the canopy, these heavy munitions were used to blast open immediate landing zones in dense jungle for Army aviation.

Carrying the ordnance required minimal aircraft modification: a dedicated mounting system was fitted under the fuselage to securely carry the bomb beneath the airframe. To control its fall, engineers developed a specialized parachute that stabilized the bomb and slowed its descent. Achieving a precise airburst roughly one meter above the ground required a long nose probe housing the fuse. During descent, a small propeller at the tip of the probe spun to arm the fuse prior to impact.

A typical bombing mission required four precision passes over the target. On the first three runs, the crew dropped smoke markers to gauge wind conditions. The aft pilot, serving as the bombardier, tracked the smoke drift and relayed steering corrections to the flying pilot. On the fourth pass, the crew pickle-released the M-121 and immediately applied full collective, climbing steeply to escape the violent blast wave. The M-121 remained in combat service until existing stockpiles were exhausted, with its final operational drop taking place on August 8, 1970.

Key Features
Includes the CH-54A Tarhe heavy-lift helicopter alongside the specialised M-121 high-capacity bomb
Finely detailed airframe with crisp, recessed panel lines and accurate structural details
Authentically rendered M-121 bomb, featuring the extended nose-fuse probe and stowed parachute assembly

North American B-25J Mitchell 'Strafer' Bomber Aircraft

Specialised ground-attack and anti-shipping variant of the twin-engine medium bomber, introduced during the second half of World War II. To maximise low-level firepower, the traditional glass bombardier nose was replaced with a solid structure housing eight fixed .50-caliber machine guns. Supported by additional fuselage blister pods, the aircraft could direct up to 14 forward-firing machine guns at a target. This heavy armament was primarily utilised in the Pacific Theatre to neutralise airfield defences and clear the anti-aircraft decks of naval vessels prior to low-altitude bomb runs.
