Bf-109G-1/R6 flown by the Kommandeur of II./JG 1 Hptm. Gunther Beise, April 1943, Jever, Germany. Note the black gun and exhaust/ wing root painting as well as the low down RLM 04 cowl marking and that the unit badge has no coloured border. Machine otherwise is in the standard RLM 74/75/76. Photos showing G-1-3 upper wings indicate that early G models still used the F model camouflage pattern.
