Ensign Jewell "Jack" Harmon Reid and crew were first to detect the Japanese fleet 700 nautical miles west of Midway; (2) BuNo unknown, VP-24, Midway June 1942. Ensign Gaylord Propst and crew attacked the IJN with torpedoes. canopy frame paint masks included.
