Searching

New July 2010. You can now save your searches. Useful if you search the same items regularly. EG Department; New Arrivals; Item type (All aircaft kits;. You must be logged in for this to work. You can save as many searches as you want to. You can delete them in Your account. You cannot rename them but you can delete them and save them again.

Use the Advance search and be as accurate or vague as you want to be. For example....

If you want to see what we have for aircraft made by Supermarine type Supermarine as your keyword and hit enter. You will then see everything we have.

If you are only interested in Spitfires you can search Supermarine Spitfire or just Spitfire. Be aware though that just searching Spitfire could bring up cars or anything with the word Spitfire in.

If you want a certain mark of Spitfire then add that to the keyword. For example Spitfire Mk.V. Be even more specific and search Spitfire Mk.VC

If you want a certain accessory select it from the Item Type menu and search again. Or if you want to see everything select All Aircraft Accessories.

Search tip. NEW SEARCH OPTION! All Aircraft Accessories. This option makes it easier to see the etched and resin after-market sets that are available for a kit. For example; select Item Type All Aircraft Accessories and type Bf 109 as the keyword. Hit enter and you will see there are 354 items. Refine your search by adding the scale 1:48. Hit enter and there are 134 results. If you want to know which are for the Hasegawa kit you can refine your search again simply by typing Hasegawa after the keyword Bf 109. Hit enter and you are down to 49 items. Maybe you want to just see for the Bf 109F so you just add the F to Bf 109 so it is Bf 109F. Hit enter and there are 13.

It is essential to search the designation we use. If you are not sure just do a quick search. For example if you want decals for you Messerschmitt 109 and are not sure what to search do a quick search for Messerschmitt and take a look. You will see that we use Bf 109, So please do not search for ME109; ME 109; BF109; BF-109; BF 109 etc as you will not get any results. Similarly if you want modern American fighters do not search F101; F4; F14; A7 etc. You need to search F-101; F-4; F-14; A-7.

In many descriptions we use the manufacturer name, the aircraft name or nickname to increase the search options. If you want Lightnings you can search either Lockheed P-38 or EE Lightning to find the right one.

Modern tanks we call M1; M2; M3; M4 etc. Not M-1; M-2; M-3; M-4. This is to stop them appearing in searches for aircraft variants.

Post WWII British aircraft we call Mk.1; Mk.2; Mk.3 etc but WWII and before we call Mk.I; Mk.II; Mk.III.
