Following the Korean War, the U.S. Army formulated requirements for a new multipurpose helicopter based on operational experience gained during the conflict. Bell Helicopter won the competition with its Model 204, designated XH-40. The prototype made its first flight on October 20, 1956, followed by the production HU-1A, officially named Iroquois. Its original HU-1 designation quickly gave rise to the nickname "Huey." In 1962, under the new unified U.S. military designation system, the helicopter was redesignated UH-1.

The first Hueys arrived in Vietnam in 1962, performing troop and cargo transport, medical evacuation, and fire-support missions. The growing need for dedicated fire-support helicopters, or "gunships," led to the development of the UH-1C. In June 1965, UH-1C helicopters began entering service with U.S. Army aviation units. Developed specifically for the gunship role, they featured a more powerful engine and wider main rotor blades for improved performance and maneuverability.

One of the principal armament configurations was the XM21 system, combining two six-barrel 7.62 mm M134 Miniguns with pods for 70 mm unguided rockets. With their firepower and maneuverability, UH-1C gunships provided effective support for ground forces, secured landing zones, and conducted night operations. The M60 tank entered service with the U.S. Army in the early 1960s. It was developed and designed as the successor to the renowned M-47 and the later M-48 Patton. The M60 became the main MBT (Main Battle Tank) of the U.S. Army during the Cold War. It was produced until 1983 by the American company Chrysler, with more than 15,000 units built, and was used, in various versions, by the armed forces of numerous countries around the world. The Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) was one of the main light tanks employed by Germany at the beginning of the Second World War. Designed and produced in Czechoslovakia by ?KD, it was widely used by the Wehrmacht following the German occupation of the country in March 1939. A light and fast armoured vehicle, it proved ideal for the role of combat tank in support of the fast-moving German units during the early stages of the conflict. TU00952 1:16 German SdKfz 165 Hummel Self-Propelled Howitzer Early Production
Self-propelled artillery piece developed by Nazi Germany during the Second World War. Introduced in 1943, it was designed to provide mobile fire support to armoured divisions, combining significant firepower with enhanced battlefield mobility.
Hummel mounted the 15?cm sFH 18/1 L/30 heavy field howitzer on a modified Panzer III/IV hybrid chassis and offered long-range capability. Its open-topped fighting compartment allowed for ease of operation and loading but exposed the crew to overhead threats. More than 700 were produced between 1943 and 1945, and the machine served on both Eastern and Western Fronts.

Few armoured vehicles are more closely associated with the British Army"s experience of the 1991 Gulf War than the Challenger 1 Main Battle Tank. Although originally developed to meet the demands of the Cold War in Europe, the type"known simply as Challenger at the time"would see its only major combat service in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Granby. The Mk 3 represented one of the final and most capable production standards of the Challenger 1, incorporating refinements intended to improve reliability, protection, and overall battlefield performance. Like previous marks, it was armed with the 120 mm L11A5 rifled gun and protected by Chobham armour, an advanced composite armour system designed by the Fighting Vehicles Research and Development Establishment at Chobham, Surrey, to improve resistance against anti-tank weapons.
The deployment of more than 220 Challenger tanks to the Gulf required extensive preparation. Vehicles received a range of modifications to improve their effectiveness in desert conditions, including upgraded cooling and air-filtration systems, additional fuel capacity, increased stowage, and extra armour. Refinished in an overall sand-coloured camouflage scheme, the Challenger adapted well to an environment very different from that for which it had originally been designed. The Challenger demonstrated impressive operational availability despite the harsh conditions. Its accuracy, protection, and long-range firepower proved valuable during offensive operations-a Challenger famously destroyed an enemy tank at a record-breaking range, 4.7 km-while British crews reported confidence in both the vehicle and its equipment.
The Challenger 1 is remembered as the British Army"s principal battle tank of the late Cold War and the vehicle that carried British armoured forces through the Gulf War. Its successful combat record helped inform the development of the Challenger 2.

GNEISENAU was a Scharnhorst-class battleship of the German Kriegsmarine, laid down in May 1935, launched in December 1936, and commissioned in May 1938. Designed to carry 38cm (15") guns, the ship entered service with 28cm (11") guns as the larger weapons were not yet available.
Alongside sister ship SCHARNHORST, GNEISENAU claimed the Royal Navy carrier GLORIOUS and destroyers ACASTA and ARDENT in June 1940.

It was always our policy to only stop selling an item if our supplier stopped making it but now things are changing. We have so many accessories* for discontinued kits that sales have slowed down too much for us to keep them all. Also we are going to need the shelf space for all the new kits and 3D-printed sets that we expect to be released in future. So now we are dropping items from our stock even if they are still available from the maker. First we will move them into Limited Availabilty. Items there are never ordered again.
