Description:: Bell P-39Q/N Airacobra 'Soviet Guard Regiments' Due to its unorthodox design that featured engine located behind the pilot's cockpit, P-39 Airacobra was not U.S. pilots' dream fighter. Nevertheless, Soviet pilots really liked to fly Airacobras. From all the aircraft delivered to Soviet Union as part of Lend-Lease, P-39s accounted a large percentage. During the low level fights on Eastern Front Airacobras were highly dangerous to its opponents. Guard Regiments with many aces including the best ones as Pokry'kin or Glinka were preferably equipped with Airacobras. We haven't released the kit of the late versions N and Q, yet Decals included (three sheets!!!) in this kit offer marking for three machines flown by Soviet aces. These are P-39N 'Krasnoyarsky
