Junkers Ju-87D-1/3 Stuka 'Combat & Captured' For the Luftwaffe, the Junkers Ju 87B/R Stuka was a very important and extensively used aircraft. With the increasing strength of the enemy air forces and the urgent need for Stukas, it was necessary to modernize this aircraft. Therefore, the Ju 87D version entered production. It was aerodynamically modified and received a more powerful version of the Jumo 211 engine. The Ju 87D-3 version used a standard-span wing, and from the Ju 87D-5 version on, a wing with an extended span was installed. The Ju 87D was used by the Luftwaffe in Africa, the Mediterranean and on the Eastern Front. The air forces of the German allies, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia, also included this aircraft in their armament. With the growing strength of the anti-Nazi alliance, some Ju 87Ds fell into the hands of British and American units.
We have prepared the Junkers Ju 87D-3 based on the Ju 87G-1 model from Academy, which we supplemented with our own styrene sprue with conversion and correction parts of the Ju 87D version, etches and in this case also 3D-printed parts of the siren propellers. The decals offer an Italian machine operating in southern Italy, a Luftwaffe machine operating in winter scheme on the Eastern Front and two interesting captured machines from Africa. One was operated by No.601 sqn. RAF and the other by the USAAF.
- also available for this model are the following: 3D-printed set with the rear gunner's seat and gun P72002, spray masks M72038 and pilot and gunner figures F72377
- limited batch
- interesting colour schemes
- the kit also contains etches and 3D-printed parts
