Zetor 25 'Military w/Towbar for Mikoyan MiG-15/MiG-17s' The Zetor 25 tractor was among the first products of the post-war Czechoslovak industry and also the very first tractor to have been manufactured by the Zetor company. Until 1961 when the production was ceased, a total of 160,000 Zetors left the production line of which almost 100,000 had been delivered across both Europe and Asia. We are now launching the 1/48 scale Zetor 25 model kit as the previous Zetor 25s in smaller 1/72 scale (models MV128 and MV129) have been a phenomenal success with the customers. Model kit no.8063 portrays the miliary variety of the type which saw quite wide service with the Czechoslovak armed forces. Many of the vehicles were used to tow military jets on the airfields, mainly the MiG 15s and 17s, as is also shown in several period propaganda films. And this is why our model also offers the (3D-Printed) tow bar in addition to a few etched details and a sheet of decals. Mikoyan MiG-17 Fresco Part 2 (8) 1. 2nd figher-bombing squadron. Port-Harkort, Nigeria, 1969 NAF612 served in 2nd figter-bombing a squadron and concerned the second party MiG-17F (NAF611 - NAF614), received in April, 1968 from the USSR through Poland. The plane initially hasn't been painted, but already bore roughly put board numbers in a back part of a fuselage. Later dark green camouflage which should hide the plane from Biafra, striking sudden blows on Nigerian airdromes has been put. 2. Mikoyan-Gurevich MIG-15. Long overdue in the Warpaint range, the MiG-15 is one of the most important and influential aircraft to come out of the early years of the Cold War and was to see active service in a wide range of theatres and with a great many Soviet client states. The MiG-15 was a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich for the Soviet Union and was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. In combat over Korea, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters, which were largely relegated to ground-attack roles, and was quickly countered by the similar American swept-wing North-American F-86 Sabre. The MiG-15 is often mentioned, along with the F-86 Sabre, as the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War. The MiG-15 is believed to have been one of the most produced jet aircraft ever, with in excess of 13,000 manufactured. Licensed foreign production may have raised the production total to almost 18,000. This latest addition to the Warpaint list by Nikolay Yakubovich has been sourced direct from Russian sources and includes a great many rare or previously unpublished photographs collated by the author, along with accurate scale drawings and colour profiles by Andrey Yurgenson.
