11. Fw-190A-8 from 3/KG 51. "Edelweiss" was the first Kampfgeschwader to convert to the Me-262 jet aircraft. This Anton, fitted with a rounded canopy and found at Bad Aibling (Germany) in May 1945, was probably part of a protection squadron for the
jets in the same unit. The KG 51 fuselage code 9K has been painted in front of the cross in small letters, like on a bomber, and the individual number is large, as was the custom in fighter units.
