Italian Air Force Paint set WWII vol. 1 x 6 colours The Aeronautica Nazionale Republicana (ANR) was the air force of the Italian Social Republic (the Republic of Sal��) that existed from start of German occupation of Italy in 09/1943 until the end of WW2. It operated aircraft both of Italian (including Macchi M.C.205 Veltro and Fiat G.55 Centauro) and German origin. Whereas the German types mostly wore the standard Luftwaffe camouflage, the Italian originated planes started operations in original Italian schemes with NC4 and VOS2 on upper surfaces, with lower parts in GAC1. Later many Italian originated planes were repainted into Luftwaffe RLM 74+75/76 scheme or even a unique mixture of Italian and German colours. HTK-AS103 includes standard colours of ANR aircraft from 1943 till 1945. 'Italian Job' Macchi C.202/C.205 in International Service. The Macchi C.202 'Folgore' (Italian 'thunderbolt') was a World War II fighter aircraft built by Macchi Aeronautica and operated mainly by the Regia Aeronautica (RA; Royal (Italian) Air Force). Macchi aircraft designed by Mario Castoldi received the 'C' letter in their model designation, hence the 'Folgore' is referred to as the C.202 or MC.202. The C.202 was a development of the earlier C.200 Saetta, with an Italian built version of the Daimler-Benz DB 601Aa engine and with a redesigned, more streamlined fuselage.
